Spook Hill Thunder Rules

  1. Each ticket purchased will have a ball with a corresponding number entered in the event.
  2. The balls will be released from a hopper and rolled through a maze down Spook Hill with the winning balls ending in the designated finish receptacle.
  3. The winning number will receive a $10,000 check.
  4. No spectators are allowed on the race course during the race.
  5. Balls are not to be interfered with in any way.
  6. Designated staff may correct malfunctions in an impartial way.
  7. Balls will be randomly diverted, bounced, and trapped on their way down the course by devices on the course.
  8. You do not need to be present to win. If the winning prize is not claimed within 30 days, the prize will be given to the Charity who sold the winning ticket.
  9. All participating balls are the property of Spook Hill Thunder and will be collected and counted following the race.
  10. For promotional purposes, balls are named“Boo”and are“adopted”by donors.
  11. Members of the Board of the Lake Wales Area Foundation, the Board of the Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Removing the Barriers Initiative or their dependent family members living in their home are not eligible to win the prizes, but their designated nonprofit cause is eligible for the bonus prize.

Spook Hill Thunder is a fundraising event conducted by the Lake Wales Area Foundation, Inc., 340 W. Central Ave., Lake Wales, FL 33853. Prizes are donated by the donors associated with each prize or purchased with no more than 10% of the raffle ticket sales. The winning ticket will be selected by rolling numbered balls down N. Lake Shore Drive and ending at Spook Hill in Lake Wales, FL, with the winning ball rolling into a set location. The rolling of the balls will take place at 2 p.m. on October 24, 2015. If the event has to be delayed due to circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, the new date and time will be announce via the website. The winning number will be announced at the event and posted on www.SpookHillThunder.com. The winner will also be notified at the address indicated on their ticket stub. The prizes or redemption certificates will be available at the event finish line immediately following the event or can be claimed at the Foundation office during normal business hours. All prizes will be awarded. The purpose of this raffle is to raise money for charities and a donation of $10 per ticket is requested, a ticket can be obtained with a lessor donation or no donation by sending a hand written request and a stamped addressed envelope to the Foundation office. According to Florida Statute Title XLVI, Chapter 849.0935(5) the Foundation may limit the number of tickets distributed to each drawing entrant. No more than 30,000 chances will be distributed.
